The Salvation Army in Olympia is the largest and best known shelter in town. It has the advantage of being downtown, and having meals prepared there. Guests must leave first thing in the morning. Salvation Army requires that guests show their ID. There are 24 beds for single men, 12 beds for single women.

If guests leave for one night, they are not allowed to return for 60 days unless they have permission from their counselor to leave that particular night.

We are no longer admit people into the shelter at night, they must meat with case management during office hours in order to enter our shelter program.

We no longer hold on to clients' money, and haven't for some time now. We do, however, require some verification of savings on the part of the client (e.g. bank statements).
