General Information:
Rainbow of Hope, Inc, is an IRS non-profit 501 (C3) organization located in Gadsden Alabama. This organization has been incorporated since November, 2007 and has made a tremendous impact upon the community. This organization has a reputation for accepting very difficult and challenging women who would often be homeless or imprisoned, providing them with a home and educational training to help them overcome their problems. We work closely with Health Services, Alabama Pardons and Parole, Etowah County Community Corrections, Etowah County Probation and many other agencies. Rainbow of Hope is a faith-based sober-living/transitional home for recovering drug and alcohol addicted women. Our mission is to provide counseling and guidance to women addicted to drugs or alcohol, to identify and address the circumstances which lead to their addiction and to help them to restore their self-respect and sense of self-worth. Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses.
