Class of Housing/Services: Emergency Services provides emergency shelter for homeless men.

General Information:
Before being admitted for a shelter bed, one will need to complete a Coordinated Entry Assessment. Coordinated Entry is a process that aims to connect individuals and families who are homeless, or those at imminent risk of homelessness, to an existing available shelter/housing resource in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community. If you call 2-1-1 (or 888-892-1162), a representative can share more on this process. Coordinated Entry occurs at the following locations/times: Hal Marshal Center, 700 N. Tryon, 7am-4pm, M-F. – this location starts April 1st through July 31st.     Urban Ministry Center, 945 N. College Street, 830am-430pm, M-F.  Note: Check-in times for all services at Urban Ministry Center are at 8:30am and 1:30pm.     Salvation Army Center of Hope, 500 Spratt Street, 7am-5pm, M-F. Remember though, for inquiries related to housing and/or homeless resources/shelter, the first step is to call 2-1-1 (or 888-892-1162). Tryon Street Campus - Men's Shelter of Charlotte Emergency Services provides emergency shelter for homeless men. Applicants must be able to physically care for their own needs, such as hygiene and feeding himself, be willing to abide by Shelter policies and guidelines, as well as be clean and sober. The Emergency Dormitory has a 142 bed capacity. A resident's stay is based upon adhering to Shelter policies and guidelines. If a resident is discharged, there is a 90 day waiting period.
