Class of Housing/Services: shelter for men. 3 meals a day.

General Information:
The Binghamton Rescue Mission provides 32 beds to men who have previously experienced homelessness, or were referred to the facility through a community agency. Residents are offered three meals daily, case management, employment resources, spiritual care, transportation to employment and important appointments, and other support services needed to move out of homelessness and into lasting life change.   The Binghamton Rescue Mission also provides permanent affordable housing in a separate single family home, and is working to renovate a second house near its residence at 56-58 Whitney Avenue. Rescue Mission staff, residents and volunteers serve a monthly community meal, open to all who are hungry, at the United Presbyterian Church. A case manager works with every resident to develop an individualized plan to set and achieve goals and lead a more stable, independent life.  We offer employment resources, spiritual care, transportation to employment and important appointments, and connection to other support services.

As A General Note About ShelterListings.org Listings:
ShelterListings.org does our best to provide listings that are free of cost. Many of the homeless shelters and services are free of charge. Some do charge small fees. We always urge the users of our website to visit the websites of the providers listed, OR give them a phone call to find out complete details.

In furtherance; Halfway Houses, Transitional Housing, and Substance Abuse Treatment Centers for the most part charge a fee. Most of the substance abuse resources we provide are low cost, Medicaid or sliding scale fee. We provide as much information as possible on the website of these locations.

Rooming and Boarding Houses do charge fees. We list them where we find them. They are a nice low cost option for housing.
