Class of Housing/Services: Transitional housing along with other services.

General Information:
Pathways of Hope offers a variety of programs and services that fit the need of individuals and families who are in economic stress.  Our goal has always been to provide emergency food, transitional housing and other support services to the hungry and homeless in our community. Pathways of Hope offers transitional housing for Families and Individuals, Food Distribution, Hope for the Homebound, Holiday Gift Program and rental and utility assistance. Services available are based on current funding. If you would like to apply for one of our housing programs, please contact 714-680-3691. There are eligibility criteria for the different programs so you will be asked questions about your situation to determine which program is available. Our general criteria include employability, a period of time from any substance use or incarceration, compliance in treatment for any health or mental health issues, and willingness to live in community with others. (Other evaluative criteria apply to specific programs and should be discussed with a case manager.) We do not have any programs that provide immediate shelter assistance. Helpful Definitions For Fullerton Interfaith Emergency Services:
Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.

Many Transitional Housing programs are subsidized and are income based. Income based transitional housing generally charges 30% of your income for rent when you do have income. Contact the transitional housing facility to see if this applies.

Services provided at transitional housing facilities varies from substance abuse treatment, to psychological assistance, job training, domestic violence assistance, etc. The assistance provided varies, but it is generally affordable and low cost housing. Read the descriptions of each of the transitional living locations for more detailed information. Transitional housing facilities also may or may not assist with alcohol and/or drug substance abuse treatment.
