Class of Housing/Services: Transitional Housing Pregnant women.

General Information:
Provides a christian setting for single pregnant women, new mothers who are 18 and older and their babies. Abigayles Place is not for women with severe emotional disorders, unable to function independently,  or with a history of substance abuse in the past year, or has other children who reside with her.  A typical placement would be someone who was forced to leave her family home, and has been living from friend to friend.  The women accepted in the program must apply with DHS and cooperate with Work First.  Services provided include  a home, meals, material assistance, childbirth and infant care support and education, various educational and vocational assistance, referrals and networking.
