Class of Housing/Services: Emergency safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children

General Information:
Emergency safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children in immediate danger of abuse. Provides counseling, referrals to other community agencies, education on the dynamics of domestic violence, court advocacy, legal options, and support groups for in-shelter clients. Out of shelter services include court advocacy, physical abuse and emotional abuse support groups, case management and referrals for victims who do not need shelter but request supportive services. Serves Madison, Morgan, Limestone, and Jackson Counties. No fees for service. Clients must be 19 years of age or older, or 18 and married. 24 hour per day shelter residency for victims and their children. Location of facility is confidential.
