Review the details below: For over 45 years, the Service League has delivered compassion and created hope for thousands of inmates and their families. We are dedicated to making San Mateo County safer with programs to prepare jail inmates to re-enter society and provide support services to their families. The Service League manages transitional housing and residential programs for recently released inmates at five Hope House facilities. By offering unique education, job training and rehabilitation services, the Service League provides a critical support network for some of the most at-risk members of our community. Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses.
