HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION Interfaith offers emergency rental or mortgage assistance to prevent imminent homelessness. To see if you are eligible for our homeless prevention services, please visit one of our service centers during their listed walk-in hours below: Inland Service Center: 550 W. River Road, Oceanside, CA 92057 | (760) 721-2117 Wednesday – Friday: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Carlsbad Service Center: 5731 Palmer Way, Suite A, Carlsbad, CA 92010 | (760) 448-5996 Tuesday – Thursday: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm   BRIDGE HOUSING Haven House Year-Round Shelter Interfaith's Haven House Year-Round Shelter provides emergency housing for up to 49 homeless men and women each night. To be screened for eligibility, please contact Haven House Intake Coordinator at (760) 489-6380 ext. 274 or come to 550 W. Washington Ave., Escondido during our Haven House walk-in hours: Monday 8:00-10:00 Wednesday 8:00-10:00 Thursday 8:00-10:00 Veteran Transitional Housing Interfaith offers temporary beds for veterans with or without a housing intervention already in place to assist in their transition from homelessness to permanent housing. This is a time to for veterans to work on their physical and mental health concerns, sobriety, employment training, weekly case management and short and long-term goals. To be considered for this program, please visit: Interfaith's Veteran Service Center: 1617 Mission Ave., Oceanside, CA 92058 Intake Hours: Monday-Friday, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Phone Number: (760) 529-9979 PERMANENT HOUSING Interfaith offers a variety of permanent housing units and programs that provide safe and affordable housing for homeless community members. Interfaith works within a housing methodology that prioritizes moving homeless individuals into housing as quickly as possible while simultaneously providing right-sized supportive services. Interfaith also provides owned and operated supportive permanent housing for homeless disabled individuals, as well as families with a disabled adult family member. Helpful Definitions For North County Interfaith Council Escondido:
Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.

Many Transitional Housing programs are subsidized and are income based. Income based transitional housing generally charges 30% of your income for rent when you do have income. Contact the transitional housing facility to see if this applies.

Services provided at transitional housing facilities varies from substance abuse treatment, to psychological assistance, job training, domestic violence assistance, etc. The assistance provided varies, but it is generally affordable and low cost housing. Read the descriptions of each of the transitional living locations for more detailed information. Transitional housing facilities also may or may not assist with alcohol and/or drug substance abuse treatment.
