General Information:
Westhab currently owns and/or manages 1,000 units of affordable housing in Westchester County and New York City, including: multi-family rental; homeownership; shelters for families and singles; and supportive housing for disabled veterans, seniors, homeless families, people in recovery from addiction, people living with mental illness, and victims of domestic violence. While our portfolio is largely comprised of Westhab-developed and owned housing, we also provide property and facilities management services for affordable housing developed and owned by for-profits and by other non-profit companies. We have a long history of maintaining quality properties that are well integrated with their surroundings and we make every effort to be a responsive landlord and neighbor. Apartment Finding Initiative (AFI) and Rapid Re-Housing Westhab offers a free apartment-finding service to people in Westchester County, and Rapid Re-Housing assistance for those that are homeless. The Samaritan Initiative The program is a collaboration between Westhab and The Renaissance Project to provide subsidized permanent housing with supportive services, for 34 single chronically homeless and disabled individuals dealing with substance abuse.
