General Information:
Office Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm (after hours: 607.732.5954) The center operates a food pantry and provides assistance with emergency shelter, prescriptions, shut-off notices, and security deposits. They also offer cash assistance based on certain criteria. The center's food pantry is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm and on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The Second Place East Homeless Shelter on College Avenue closed on May 31, 2022. Emergency Shelter is being provided through local motels. A Warming Station may now be available on "Code Blue Nights" (temperature or windchill at or below 32 degrees). Check-in at the Elmira Police Department for instructions.
