General Information:
National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-334-2836 Peace Place provides up to 30 days of shelter for battered women and their children. The location is confidential. The shelter is licensed for up to 15 beds by the DHR. The shelter is open to clients 24 hours a day. Potential clients are required to call their hotline (770-586-0927) for a general intake. Services are offered free of charge. Some of their services include: - Individual Counseling - Public Speaking/In-Service Training - Community Outreach - Case Management - Children's Programs - Budgeting - Safe Shelter - Safety Planning - Life Skills Classes - 24-hour hotline - Legal Advocacy - Crisis Intervention - Medical and Dental Referrals - Referrals to other services - School Programs - Volunteer Opportunities - Support groups in the shelter - Support groups in the community - Advocacy - Outreach services - Aftercare program - Services coordination among agencies - Information and referral - Volunteer training - Community education - Group presentations Peace Place also offers outreach services and extends their services to Male victims and their children.
