General Information:
Open Monday-Friday 11am-5pm. Rare Breed Youth Services At-risk and homeless youth ages 13-24 years old can access free and confidential services at the Rare Breed Youth Outreach Center. The Rare Breed Youth Outreach Center (RBYOC) is a unique place that promotes healthy relationships, resiliency, empowerment, and healing for Springfield’s young people. Rare Breed collaborates with multiple agencies in the area to bring the best programs for youth to overcome trauma and poverty and go on to lead healthy adult lives. Healing happens when youth have healthy positive relationships and that is the foundation of the program. Once youth engage in services, we develop a unique plan for that youth return to stable housing, complete basic education, gain employment, and stabilize mental and physical health. Rare Breed has been assisting youth experiencing homelessness, inter-generational poverty, and trauma since June of 2000. In addition to case management and the services listed above, youth have access to the following resources to help them on the path to stability:     Showers     Laundry     Computer Lab     Kitchen     Nursery     Art Studio     Music Studio     Library     Weight Room

In furtherance; Halfway Houses, Transitional Housing, and Substance Abuse Treatment Centers for the most part charge a fee. Most of the substance abuse resources we provide are low cost, Medicaid or sliding scale fee. We provide as much information as possible on the website of these locations.

Rooming and Boarding Houses do charge fees. We list them where we find them. They are a nice low cost option for housing.
