General Information:
Hours of Operations Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm The Adult Rehabilitation Center is a residential program for men who are addicted to alcohol and drugs. The program consists of work therapy, recreation, worship, health care, education and counseling. Upon completion, the resident is ready to move into ARC Transitional Housing. In this phase of recovery, the man is preparing for return to family and community. Our program is confidential and voluntary. Men entering the program must be serious about recovery and ready to commit to change. The program is based on a 6-level course which usually takes about 6 months to complete. Each level is different and deals with various aspects of recovery support. The program is designed to help the addict take responsibility for his actions and grow spiritually and emotionally. Services offered include one-on-one counseling, group meetings, worship services, bible study courses, GED and literacy classes, peer support and work therapy. About Transitional program: After completing the 5-level program, graduate residents are offered the opportunity to take part in the Transitional Living Program. This housing arrangement offers the graduate the opportunity to obtain employment, continue his education, save money and reunited with society while still maintaining the guidance and support of the ARC. How to enter the ARC program: Men between the ages of 21 to 60 interested in entering the program should call 713-869-3551 during hours of operation and ask for the Intake Office. After a brief telephone interview to determine eligibility, a time will be set to meet with a staff member or counselor for an interview. Space is limited and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. Transitional housing facilities also may or may not assist with alcohol and/or drug substance abuse treatment.Drug And Alcohol Rehab programs are intended to treat alcohol and/or drug dependency. The cost of participating in one of these programs and the method of treatment range significantly.
