General Information:
The Rose Julia Riordan Tranquility Village is a special place in time for women beginning their recovery from alcoholism or addiction. Founded in 1989, the Tranquility Village is a licensed and certified 42 bed residential facility. Utilizing evidence based practices and a gender responsive approach combined with a state-of-the-art treatment program, women can begin the healing journey from the devastation produced by the disease of alcoholism and addiction. The Rose Julia Riordan Tranquility Village offers recovery home services to women 18 years and older in a supportive and safe home-like environment where the accommodations are bright and well maintained. In our residential facility there are innumerable “teachable moments” to support family members as they build healthy relationships, make good decisions, and build healthy life skills. Research indicates that the longer an individual stays engaged in services the more likely they are to maintain their new clean and sober life style. Because Community Social Model Advocates recognized a need to enhance and promote services through a continuum of care for those individuals with valid reason need to continue to reside in a safe, supportive, sober and clean environment after primary treatment, the Rose Julia Riordan Tranquility Village created a sober living environment. The purpose of these homes is to provide cost effective, step down service, which includes lodging in an alcohol/drug free environment for maintaining on-going recovery for women and women with children. These services are supportive in nature and allow the participant a period of time in aftercare to form and maintain a solid foundation in their recovery. Program services include semi-structured Home-like environment, clean and sober activities, attainment of independent living skills, continued recovery planning, open door policy, cost effective fees for room and board.
