Class of Housing/Services: shelter for all. we also serve homeless neighbors from any of the cities in our Hampton Roads region. Most others come from Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, or Suffolk.

General Information:
Bashford Men's Shelter: (757) 627-8686, x 200 Women's Shelter: (757) 627-8686, x 200 The Union Mission's shelters are available to help neighbors in need overcome their homelessness, as capacity allows. If you need emergency shelter, please call the numbers above to check on availability of beds or resources. All shelter guests receive nutritious food, clothing, safe emergency shelter, wellness and mental health care, job- and life-skills training, and spiritual support. Staff assist with case management and referrals for helpful resources, work opportunities, and sustainable housing. Our shelter for women with children is temporarily closed.
