General Information:
The Hagerstown Hope Center at Hagerstown Rescue Mission provides up to 30 consecutive nights of overnight shelter to transient men who are homeless and would otherwise be living on the streets or in the woods. Some of the requirements for men staying in the Transient Program are:     They must be sober     They must shower each evening before given a bed     They must attend the evening chapel service Each guest is given a personal care package containing enough personal hygiene products to last thirty days. A change of clothing is also made available if needed. A hot meal is provided following the evening chapel service. Overnight guests may also stay for breakfast the following morning. However, due to limited storage space transients may not leave their personal possessions on the property. Residential Program Once an individual is ready to take the step to life recovery, they can join our men's program. Our program, Foundations, is free for any man that is ready to restore their life. Once in the program, the men will work through different levels of accountability. The men are enrolled in classes as well as being assigned various jobs around the property. Our programs not only deal with addictions, but we believe God wants to build an entire new life in each of our program residents as described in II Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away, behold all things have become new.

We always urge the users of our website to visit the websites of the providers listed, OR give them a phone call to find out complete details.

In furtherance; Halfway Houses, Transitional Housing, and Substance Abuse Treatment Centers for the most part charge a fee. Most of the substance abuse resources we provide are low cost, Medicaid or sliding scale fee. We provide as much information as possible on the website of these locations.

Rooming and Boarding Houses do charge fees. We list them where we find them. They are a nice low cost option for housing.
