Class of Housing/Services: street-level homeless outreach

General Information:
Heaven’s Care is a Gonzales, LA 501(c)(3) that does street-level homeless outreach in Ascension Parish and Greater Baton Rouge. They meet people where they are—streets, tents, cars—and focus on immediate needs plus a path toward stability. There is no permanent parish shelter. Street Outreach Direct contact with unsheltered individuals and families. Hygiene kits, clothing, shoes, blankets, baby items, and other essentials delivered where people are staying. Outreach referrals accepted. Food & Care Packages Food kits and care packages (primarily nonperishable items; hot meals when available). Hygiene kits and basic necessities for individuals and families. Emergency Lodging Hotel/motel placement during extreme heat, cold, or disasters. Support for parish warming shelters when cities open them. Working toward a local shelter. Case Management & Referrals Help identifying barriers to housing and work, connecting to community resources, and following through so support continues after first contact. Crisis & Disaster Response Rapid response after fires, winter storms, and heat events. Donation drives and targeted aid (including family and infant needs). Community giveaways when resources allow
