Class of Housing: halfway house/recovery home ministry

General Information:
We are a halfway house/recovery home ministry dedicated to helping working class men and woman and/or single parents who have trouble getting a residence because of their criminal offending or felony background. Some people are strong enough to prevail and overcome the past, get released from incarceration or impatient rehab, complete probation, fight for parental custody and win. After that they are unable to put their child/children in a nice home or get a nice home for themselves. Even though they are working and have the money to move in, they struggle with residential apartment and house approval because of their history and background. We provide a temporary stay for persons who need a comfortable and safe drug free environment while waiting to find someone who will rent to them.

Helpful Definitions For First N.A.M.E. Ministry :

Halfway Housing helps transition individuals and families from shelters or homelessness to permanent housing. Length of stay is usually anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.  Residents are often required to pay at least 30% of their income toward program fees.  Sometimes the money they pay in fees is returned to them when they leave. Any emergency or homeless shelter that allows their clients to stay more then 6 months is also classified under this category.
Oftentimes halfway houses also assist in the treatment of substance abuse and/or alcohol and drug detox. Speak with the halfway house to see if this applies.

Drug And Alcohol Rehab programs are intended to treat alcohol and/or drug dependency.  The cost of participating in one of these programs and the method of treatment range significantly. The database operated on this website only includes residential rehab programs (not outpatient programs). We also provide Access to Recovery (ATR) Grant programs for substance abuse treatment.
