General Information:
Serving adult and child victims of domestic violence in Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Jenkins, Screven and Washington Counties. Our highly trained expert advocates are available 24/7 to talk confidentially with anyone experiencing domestic violence, seeking resources or information, or questioning unhealthy aspects of their relationship. ​ The hotline provides lifesaving tools and immediate support to enable victims to find safety and live lives free of abuse. Safe Haven of Statesboro, GA offers the following services free-of-charge to all victims of domestic violence.  Though we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations, we strive to ensure that all victims are provided with a safe and welcoming environment. Emergency Shelter     The 21 bed emergency shelter provides a safe place and emotional support for victims of DV while they are in the process of transitioning into a life free of abuse. Non-Residential Services     Our non-residential program provides services to victims of domestic violence that do not need shelter.  The services range from legal advocacy to safety planning and connections to local resources. ​Outreach Services     Our outreach services include speakers at civic clubs and other community events. We also teach our Healthy Relationships curriculum to local schools. Our outreach liaison leads monthly support groups in all of our service counties and provides follow-up consultation to clients. Rapid Re-Housing     Our rapid re-housing program serves as a supportive stepping stone to an independent life style.   While in the program, clients receive supportive services including case management, safety planning, referrals to community resources, and money management and budget planning.
