General Information:
Asheboro Shelter of Hope is a homeless shelter for men in Randolph County. We provide shelter, clothing, meals, and referrals to service agencies. Has a washer and dryer. Capacity: 32 men. General Directions: Located at 133 W. Wainman Avenue between Fayetteville Street and Church Street. Located in the building which use to be the Salt Box. Shelter Rules: If you can work, you are required to work. We have different classes at night at the shelter, you may not all have to go to all the classes it depends on the need. Unemployed men can stay for 30 days and longer if they are trying to find work. Men with jobs can stay 120 days. These are general rules. If you speak to the shelter, rules can be updated. Sex offenders must register as there is a school less than 500 feet from the shelter. People staying at the shelter are not sent away during the day. It is free to stay at the shelter. If you are on food stamps, you are required to give 1/2 of your monthly food stamp money to the shelter. If you do have a job, you need to pay $25 per week. Transporation to jobs: The shelter does provide for rides to work. The fee is $5 per day.   - Rehab Services also provided.
