Charlie's 3/4 House, Inc., is a non-profit organization that provides affordable transitional housing for up to 50 newly recovering alcoholics. Our residents live with us for varying periods of time, some for a few weeks, while others stay with us up to 24 months. All of our residents are newly sober and have come to Charlie’s with two basic needs:     The need for transitional living accommodations while working and saving enough money to live on their own, and     A living environment that fosters and supports a daily routine based on living a life without alcohol. We are located in Over the Rhine, near downtown Cincinnati, and for over 30 years we have worked daily to foster such an environment; one in which a newly recovering alcoholic can learn to live a lifestyle free of alcohol, while working to get back on their feet financially.   Charlie's 3/4 House, Inc., serves ONLY self-admitted adult recovering alcoholics and will admit all such men on a space-available, first-come first-served basis, regardless of race, color, sexual orientation, creed, place of birth or natural origin.   Admission Policy Initial Entry: - Three days’ sobriety - Approval of House Director Second Admission:  - Three days' sobriety - 30 days from date of previews departure - Approval of House Director Third Admission:  - Three days' sobriety - 90 days from date of previous departure - Majority vote of the Board (may require conditions) Fourth Admission & Thereafter: - Seven days' sobriety - Six months from date of previous departure - Unanimous vote of the Board (must meet specific conditions) Photo identification is required at the time of initial entry.
