General Information:
A Great Place to Stay AFCH 6910 is a licensed Family Care Home that provides care for Veterans, Disabled (Mentally and physically) and 65 years and older. At A Great Place to Stay we allow our residents to live as independently as possible while having personal care and health services as the resident’s needs increases. We provide around- the- clock support, assistance and encouragement. We also have a designated Memory loss program that focuses on the residents that are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of Dementia. At A Great Place to Stay we strive for the highest quality of life for our residents because we want them to feel comfortable and secure in their surroundings. We pride ourselves with being a Micro-Community meaning we’re very small which allows us to provide more attention to our residents needs and concerns. Our home is located in a quiet community with shopping, hospitals, doctor’s offices, rehabilitation centers, dentist office, churches and a library minutes away. All of our meals are Home Cooked using only fresh produce and meats with the chef being certified as a Serve Safe Food Handler. We provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s); we offer Private and Semi-Private Rooms, 3 Home Cooked meals and 2 snacks, transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, laundry service, cable and internet. Our dedicated and experienced staff is at your service 24/7 providing quality care and attending to the personal needs of each and every resident. All staff is CPR and First Aide Certified, all have cleared a level 2 background Screening and all are free from Communicable Diseases and TB. A Great Place to Stay AFCH always goes above and beyond with helping our families in any way possible. We assist families with applying for subsidy programs they may qualify for including but not limited to (Veterans Aide and Attendance, Medicaid etc…) to help pay for care.
