Class of Housing/Services: Day shelter for woman and children.

General Information:
  Rose Haven is day shelter and community center for women and children suffering from abuse, homelessness and other disruptive life events. Hospitality hours are 9 am-noon Monday through Fridays. Appointments are available during afternoons for advocacy and special needs. This private, non profit agency serves the needs of women and children by providing hot, nutritious meals, clothing/hygiene items, mailing and voice mail service.  Classes and activities are available daily.     Rose Haven serves women and children of all ages, regardless of need. Our guests come with a myriad of needs and they are immediately triaged. Rose Haven staff and volunteers form a compassionate and supportive team for women who are traumatized by homelessness, abuse, and other disruptive life challenges. Rose Haven is a comfortable, safe place for our guests.

Day Shelters supplement homeless and low-income people when the shelter their staying in only offers shelter on an overnight basis. Case management is often provided and sometimes there are laundry and shower facilities.  Meals and basic hygiene may also be offered.  Almost all day shelters provide their services free of charge.
