General Information:
Shelter for homeless. Also provides food assistance. The Center of Hope Serves as the primary location for the following services: Emergency Shelter- temporary lodging provided for homeless families and individuals in our family dorm, women's dorm and men's dorm. Emergency shelter services are available to anyone in need, regardless of race, creed, age or gender.  We have more than 240 beds in the emergency shelter.  Women or men in need of temporary shelter are provided a safe, secure environment along with nutritional meals during their stay. We have several collaborative partners within the community to assist our clients.  Our goal is to assist them to move past the immediate crisis stage that brought them to The Salvation Army to the goal of self-sufficiency and ultimately to successful independent living.  Initially the client's needs are identified by the case managers. They first establish a plan of action to stabilize the situation, seek solutions for immediate needs and then establish long term goals. Community Feeding serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 365 days a year (approximatley 600-700 meals per day) Voluntary Interim Placement Enhanced Recovery (VIP-ER) Program and Community Recovery Program (CRP)- a ten-week intensive residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. first step class Quality Life by Choice (QLife) for homeless individuals, connecting hope to opportunity for quality of life over time. Family Resident Services ( formerly FAITH) Program a program for homeless families where they receive free housing while they rebuild their lives. Emergency Financial Assistance - Social Services- rental assistance, utility assistance, clothing closet. This is designed to assist families in crisis before they reach the homeless stage.
