Class of Housing/Services: Wisconsin Roots Recovery Community is where young men can begin to recover from alcoholism and drug addiction.

General Information:
Six month sober living program for men only. Located on Milwaukee's east-side. Five bedrooms. Great house. Great location. Walking distance to everything. Including over 120 12-step meetings. Strong tight-knit community. Our sober living program requires a 6-month commitment and is limited to young men over the age of 18. Wisconsin Roots Recovery Community immerses its resident members in traditional 12-step programs while recognizing that healthy relationships with family and friends, having fun, and making a living are crucial aspects of a rewarding life. Residents are required to adhere to the standards and principles of our program designed to promote healthy recovery. These standards include the prohibition of all alcohol and mood altering drugs or chemicals; working all 12 steps; attendance of in-house and external meetings; and respect for each other’s privacy, safety and possessions. Young men who become part of our community are required to find employment and become self-supporting, they must pay their own way for the final five months of their stay. Learning to live according to Wisconsin Roots Recovery Community standards demands setting aside old ways of thinking and acting and replacing them with a new system of personal responsibility. Our goal is to support our resident and alumni members while undertaking this challenge so that they have the opportunity to live a life of freedom and serenity.
