Class of Housing/Services: Family Shelter.

General Information:
Family Shelter. At any given time, up to 30 families live at La Mesita in their individual efficiency apartments. Receiving up to 4 months of emergency shelter and a broad array of services, they work with staff to become self-reliant, overcoming the obstacles that lead to their homelessness. The cost per person at La Mesita is $56 per night. To qualify for a LaMesita placement, contact MesaCAN at (480) 833-9200 or CONTACS at (602) 263-8900. La Mesita is a 30-unit family shelter that provides services to help homeless families with minor aged children become self-reliant. Services include: - temporary emergency housing - case management - family development center - licensed childcare services - provision of basic living needs - adult resource center La Mesita provides two 1,250 square-foot units to accommodate larger families and/or residents with disabilities. La Mesita is the only emergency shelter in the East Valley providing a broad array of services to homeless families. All calls are directed to the Family Housing Hub which is the entry point for the shelter.
