Transitional Housing, Sober Living or Recovery House. These are all ways that this type of housing may be listed. It is a structured living enviroment that will guide you and help you to gain knowledge of the 12 step programs. This will give you direction to allow yourself stability in your own life to become a productive member of society.Random screens of drugs and alcohol are mandatory. Accountability is priority. Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses.
