General Information:
The primary mission of the Southington Housing Authority is to create and preserve affordable housing for elderly individuals (62 years or older) on a low income.  Housing is also provided to younger persons who are deemed disabled by the Social Security Administration and meet the State of Connecticut guidelines.  The yearly income limits correspond to the percentage of area median income established by HUD.  The Authority continues to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing and to provide programs and resources for its residents to assist them in maintaining independent living styles in affordable housing. Housing units are located at General Pulaski Terrace, 6 Carter Lane, Plantsville; DiCaprio Forgione Terrace, 408 Main Street, Southington; Joseph A. Zdunczyk Terrace, 500 Pleasant Street, Southington; and Lincoln Lewis Terrace, 43 Academy St., Southington. Applications are accepted only during the months of January and July and may be obtained on this website or at the following Town of Southington locations: Public Library, Calendar House, Housing Authority office, Town Clerk's office, and Community Services office.
