General Information:
The Housing Authority of the City of Ansonia seeks to increase equal opportunity and access to decent, safe, affordable housing free from discrimination, support community development, economic opportunity and self-sufficiency, expand home ownership and educational opportunities and participate in community rebuilding though lower densities, modern housing and integration of socioeconomic groups. The AHA makes housing available in two different ways: through housing that we own, and through the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance program (formerly known as "Section 8"). The AHA owns, manages and maintains residences throughout Ansonia. Some residences are concentrated to create complete neighborhoods with community centers, gardens and recreational areas. Some are more suited for families and others are more suited for older adults.
