General Information:
This is a South Dade County Camillus House Transitional Housing location on the former Homestead Air Force Base. There are 196 beds of transtional housing at this locaiton. 40 apartments are for families, 34 beds are for single men. Intensive case management services are provided throughout the program, with other services including child care provided on an as-needed basis. Seventy five percent of Saint Michael Residence is reserved for veterans, and Camillus provides specialized services for veterans to this targeted population. Criteria: clients must be homeless with referral by walk-in or from an emergency shelter; ability to live independently; drug and alcohol free; compliance with program participation, including attaining employment/income. Residents pay 30% of adjusted gross income as part of their client contribution.
