General Information:
Provides multiple substance abuse and alcohol recovery homes for men and women throughout the Metro Detroit area. The Doorway to Recovery is a transitional housing organization that provides recovery housing for men and women who are trying to rebuild their lives — one day at a time — after the devastating effects caused by drug and alcohol addiction.  These men and women, through 12-step recovery work, are desperately trying to break the destructive cycle of addiction.  Doorway to Recovery’s mission is to help these individuals in their efforts.  We have numerous transitional homes throughout Wayne County, housing recovering alcoholics and addicts that are sincerely interested in being involved in the recovery community.

Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses.
