General Information:
Services We Provide Emergency Housing Individuals and even families find themselves homeless for a whole range of reasons. If you’ve no place to stay and need immediate help, The Salvation Army is there to provide a warm, safe place to stay the night. Many of our locations include emergency shelters that make provision for men, women, and families where possible. In cities where we don’t have facilities, we will refer you to partner programs or provide financial assistance to cover emergency overnight shelter costs when available. Transitional Housing Short term accommodation is sometimes necessary to give individuals and families the time and space to get their lives together. Salvation Army transitional programs can offer shelter while providing the time to find a permanent place to live. If you’ve been evicted, are dealing with an addiction, face a domestic break-up or have another type of crisis, contact your local Salvation Army service office to find out what options are available in your city. Permanent Supportive Housing Everyone wants to find a place they can call home. When you need a long-term solution, one of our permanent housing facilities may be a good fit. Options range from supportive housing facilities for seniors to apartments for vulnerable young adults learning independence. We also have complexes for homeless adults and families.
