General Information:
Admission criteria for Hope House of Itasca County is same for everyone without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, age, gender or ability. Hope House of Itasca County is not however for person in need of emergency medical care or for those who are deemed likely  to be at risk of harm to self or others. Arrangements for admission are made in advance with Hope House of Itasca County by contacting the men’s program at  (218) 326 – 1443, or women’s program at (218) 327 – 9944. Requirements for admission include:     Minimum  18 years of age     Provide an alcohol  and drug history(Rule 25)     Active health insurance     Provide a mental health history(Diagnostic Assessment)     Provide a legal and criminal history     Complete an admission  interview     The interview may include family member or individual who have worked with the applicant  in the past. Admission Process Admissions are typically scheduled Monday through Thursday between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. We consider the emergency admissions on a case by case basis. Treatments costs  vary depending on treatment duration and available sources payment. Hope House of Itasca County staff communicate with the prospective clients regarding payment options. Financial assistance may be available for persons who are deemed eligible. Description Residential Services Our two residential programs provide both medium and low-intensity, gender specific treatment services. Men and Women face equality difficult, but very different obstacles recovery. Our residential programs are tailored to equip our clients with the tools to overcome those obstacles. Hope House of Itasca County is not a halfway house. Hope House is residential treatment program. Project Clean Start Motherhood can be difficult, but extremely rewarding, role for women in recovery. Project Clean Start is aftercare program developed by Hopse House Itasca County. It is an effort to ease the transition from a structured treatment environment to independent living for women with substance abuse disorders and their children.

Halfway Housing helps transition individuals and families from shelters or homelessness to permanent housing. Length of stay is usually anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.  Residents are often required to pay at least 30% of their income toward program fees.  Sometimes the money they pay in fees is returned to them when they leave. Any emergency or homeless shelter that allows their clients to stay more then 6 months is also classified under this category.
