General Information:
The mission of the Calcasieu Parish Housing Department is to aid the financially disadvantaged with decent, clean, and sanitary housing by providing quality services to the people of Calcasieu Parish. The Housing Department strives to provide and promote diversified living environments for low-income families, seniors and persons with disabilities. Eligible families are provided rental assistance through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HVC) governed by the rules and regulations determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Housing Department also strives to meet the needs of low-income families through programs and services that make an important impact on families in the community of Calcasieu Parish.
