Class of Housing: serves as temporary housing until permanent housing is found for the client.

General Information:

PDCAA Transitional Housing Program     
Pee Dee CAP's Transistional Shelter is a long-term transistional housing program for homeless individuals. Our residents gain access to emergency financial assistance for necessary supportive services, to transportation in our agency van, and to congregate meal, two a day.

All that the Transistional Shelter asks is that each individual that plans to take advantage of our services needs to indicate a willingness to participate in developing and implementing a plan which has a goal of self-sufficiency.
Shelter Hours of Service

Breakfast: 6 am - 7 am
Office Hours: 8:30 am - 5 pm (Staff on Duty)
Dinner: 6 pm - 7 pm

We provide long term transistional housing for homeless individuals who indicate a willingness to participate in developing and implementing a plan which has a goal of self-sufficiency. Residents can stay up to 24 months.
Emergency Financial Assistance

We provide financial assistance for the express purpose of helping our residents pay for necessary supportive services in situations where they could not otherwise obtain them. These include payments to third parties for medical, child-care, self-improvement skills, work uniforms and other miscellaneous expenses.

Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. Transitional housing facilities also may or may not assist with alcohol and/or drug substance abuse treatment.
