General Information:
Provides a halfway house and substance abuse services for women and children. Payment assistance provided. With your support, our programs, services, and professional staff save and change the lives of these groups of women in need, and their babies: Adolescents who are homeless, pregnant, and abused Adult women who are homeless, pregnant and in early substance abuse recovery Children who reside at the Center with their mothers Pregnant and postpartum women in need of Intensive Outpatient Treatment The women who come to our program understand the urgent need to break the cycle that has brought them to us. Additionally, our program reaches out to include family and other intimate associates who will be involved after the resident's departure from the Center. Group counseling and education are available to the resident's entire family to assist in reunification, and to help our residents start on a path to dignity, self-respect, and self-reliance. Halfway Housing helps transition individuals and families from shelters or homelessness to permanent housing. Length of stay is usually anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.  Residents are often required to pay at least 30% of their income toward program fees.  Sometimes the money they pay in fees is returned to them when they leave. Any emergency or homeless shelter that allows their clients to stay more then 6 months is also classified under this category.
