The mission of Julie Adam's House Incorporated is to enhance the emotional, social, and spiritual health of Women, of all ages inflicted with addiction, by providing women regardless if they have medical insurance an affordable, safe, clean, and sober environment where they are taught the principles of a 12-step program and taught the skills needed to become useful members of society. Julie Adams House is Non-medical, Structured, Sober Living Environment serving the Medina County and surrounding areas. Services Julie Adam’s House Incorporated is an organization that provides transitional housing and life skill training for women. It offers assistance to women, suffering from alcoholism and/or drug addiction, as they move from dependent, often abusive ways of living into independent, self-sufficient lifestyles. Additionally, it assists clients with an affordable living option .   FAQ's How do I get into the house? Most residents are referred to Julie Adams House after they have completed a medically supervised drug or alcohol rehab program. All residents must pass our intake screening to establish that this is the right place for them. Is there a waiting list? Because our bed space is limited, we generally are filled. Referral agencies are encouraged to contact us about openings. How long is the plan? Going through both phases requires a minimum six-month commitment, although residents can extend their stay if they feel the need. Can anyone get help from the Julie Adams House? We are strictly a women only and they must be 18 years or older. May I have visitors? Because we are structured supportive housing, we encourage visitors at only specified visiting hours. We can also help friends and family members to find Al-Anon or Nar-Anon support groups. What will I have to pay? Julie Adams House is funded strictly by donations, fundraising and the rent that Phase Two residents pay each month. Who is Julie Adams? Julie Adams House was named to honor two people, Julie and Adam, who lost their struggles with addiction. Who runs Julie Adams House? Our residents conduct house meetings and see that the house rules are being respected. This participation is part of each woman’s path to self-reliance.

Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.

Drug And Alcohol Rehab programs are intended to treat alcohol and/or drug dependency.  The cost of participating in one of these programs and the method of treatment range significantly.
