General Information:
At Good News Homes, families are welcomed into their own three-bedroom apartment where they can stay until they are ready to move to permanent housing.  While a resident of Good News Homes, families receive the support they need to get back on their feet: - Assistance in obtaining housing subsidy - Assistance applying for other federal and state benefits - Help securing any personal services needed, such as medical, legal, budgeting, counseling - And More Eligibility for Good News Homes is based on need as determined by income level, housing status, and other factors. Referral Service Good News Homes provides additional housing assistance through referral to local landlords and through other Kentucky Housing Corporation programs such as Section 8 and Safe Havens.  Good News Homes also works with a large number of local agencies to help families obtain food, clothing, emergency financial assistance, and other necessities. Housing Provided Good News Homes currently has four apartments in Oldham County near downtown LaGrange on land donated by LaGrange attorney Harold Smith.  An identical four-unit complex is located in Trimble County near Bedford.  In addition, we lease a number of local homes to house people in need of shelter.
