Eligibility: Open to persons living in the Quad City area who have the HIV/AIDS infection. Documents Needed: Picture ID and Social Security card. Fees: Sliding fee scale based on income for residents of group home. Rent is $417 per month, all utilities included, for people living at permanent supportive program (Steven's Place). Intake Procedure: Must complete application and provide proof of HIV status. Languages Spoken: English, German, Spanish, French Service Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 1 pm-4 pm, or by appointment Description: DELACERDA HOUSE (DLCH) offers transitional and permanent supportive housing for people living with HIV/AIDS. Residents at the transitional group home receive funds available to assist them with personal items, the cost of community activities, and moving expenses. DLCH provides advocacy services, intensive case management, and referral services for the clients living at the group home. In addition, DLCH also offers a permanent supportive housing program (eight one-bedroom apartments for single people, couples, or single parents with a child). DLCH serves people living with HIV/AIDS in Scott (Iowa), Rock Island (Illinois), and outlying area counties who are unable to secure safe and affordable housing for themselves. DelaCerda also provides a Family Residence with two, three-bedroom apartments for two families in which at least one member is living with HIV/AIDS.
