General Information:
24 Hour Hotline 928.634.2511 We offer a variety of programs related to helping people who have been affected by family violence or sexual assault. SHELTER Many people who use our services are recent victims of violent crime or may be in imminent danger, therefore the shelter is at an undisclosed location. We are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and maintain a hotline to respond to crisis calls and inquiries. The shelter has 28 beds for women and their children who have fled situations of domestic violence or sexual assault. In addition to safe haven, services include: case management individual counseling for women and children groups focused on domestic violence, legal issues, parenting, relaxation, cooking and more legal advocacy safety planning TRANSITIONAL HOUSING Transitional housing provides a step between shelter and fully independent living. Transitional housing subsidies and ongoing staff support are typically offered to former shelter residents for three to six months. YOUTH OUTREACH These services are provided through the YES (Youth Empowerment Services) Program. This program provides outreach and intervention to at-risk youth as well as prevention groups focused on issues of self esteem, dealing with feelings of anger and aggression without resorting to violence, and making healthy choices. This is primarily a school-based program, though additional sites are added during the summer months.

Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.
