Class of Housing/Services: Transitional Housing

General Information:
Serenity Complex is Crossroads Mission’s transitional housing program. It has been in existence continuously since 1986.  The living center for men is open to any who holds a job but needs assistance with transitioning to the community after participating in a program or being released from jail or prison.    The goal of this program is to provide services to men who need to further their drug and alcohol recovery process in a supervised and structured atmosphere. This is accomplished in part by providing an environment that is free of alcohol and other drugs. The participants are required to perform certain household chores, attend 12-step meetings, remain gainfully employed, pay program fees, and become productive members of the community.    Serenity Complex is not a treatment facility. We provide transitional housing to men who are already in the process of recovery from addiction or other issues of life that may require help in acquiring skills for success.  We take referrals from Yuma Regional Medical Center, Yuma County Adult Probation, the police department, and other local and State agencies.  Serenity Complex could not survive without the help of those willing to share our vision and responsibility. Organizations such as Yuma Community Food Bank, FEMA, Arizona Department of Commerce, DES, State of Arizona, and the City of Yuma, all provide ongoing help with much needed food and financial support. Each year a number of local businesses and individuals also provide us with contributions which helps insure that we are able to continue our program in the future - Thank you! Fees may apply for this Transitional Housing resource. Contact Serenity Complex Transitional Housing with the contact information we provided to get full details. Oftentimes you can apply for sliding scale fee payment or other options if you are low income. You will need to speak with them to see if you qualify.
