Services offered: Emergency and long-term shelter for women and children in crisis. Intake: Call to apply. Eligibility: Women in crisis as a result of abuse or unwed mothers who are pregnant. Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm, Mon. - Fri. Documents: Drivers license or photo ID if available, but not required. Service area: Benton county. Fees may apply for this Transitional Housing resource. Since Restoration Village opened its doors in June 1989 over 1,000 souls have entered these doors - usually homeless, often with children or pregnant, needing security, hope and encouragement to overcome the traumas of sexual, emotional or physical abuse. The Village is a new beginning for all who come offering: a family atmosphere, encouraging, exploring opportunities for the future, learning new social skills, training in practical aspects of living, such as budgeting, cooking and housekeeping and beginning the journey of renewal to their souls through on-site counseling.

Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.
