Class of Housing/Services: Transitional Housing

General Information:
The Warm Hearth Foundation was incorporated in the State of Colorado in 2010 to bring hope and help to those suffering and homeless in Montrose, Colorado and the Southwest Colorado Corridor. Originally a service arm of United Christian Word Ministries founded in 2001 by Pastors Chris and Susan Millikin, this ministry was a response to a growing community need for assistance with housing where none has existed. As Pastor Susan and her friends reached out to the homeless, it soon became apparent that a solution of a permanently based facility was needed than could be financed by church members alone and also in a time of financial hardship for many. An ever expanding financial base allowed is allowing The Warm Hearth Foundation to plan, design, and build a proposed 50 bed facility for both Veterans and families. Temporary and transitional housing with stays of up to 6 months are proposed at multiple sites, job training and employment services are starting and cutting edge technology equipment will be specified for the facility. As this outreach has stepped up, referrals are increasing from our dedicated marketing professionals and calls into the center. Today The Warm Hearth Foundation is working in tandem with many agencies in order to maximize the services that will be provided and and the services, employment and making our clients feel as much as home as when they left! Fees may apply for this Transitional Housing resource. Contact The Warm Hearth Foundation with the contact information we provided to get full details. Oftentimes you can apply for sliding scale fee payment or other options if you are low income. You will need to speak with them to see if you qualify.
