Class of Housing/Services: Transitional Housing

General Information:
The discipleship program exists to help men who have a desire to make the transition from incarceration back into the community as a transformed and productive citizen. City Walk guides and helps men make such positive changes which are necessary.We provide monitored housing in a structured Christian family setting and assist in mentoring, a church home, employment opportunities, classes, and addiction recovery. Through a variety of classes and supportive Christian fellowship, we assist in strengthening ones practical as well as spiritual walk. Participants must bring total honesty and a commitment to change to the program and accept personal responsibility. City Walk believes that it is only through the power of God and faith in Christ Jesus that any person can receive the strength to overcome sin and the weaknesses of the flesh. Therefore, it is the hope of City Walk that all residents will be drawn by God into a relationship with Him and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior during their time here. Our facility holds up to 30 program residents and has three live-in house managers. Each resident has a 100 square foot private space, including a bed, dresser, and mini-fridge. The house has community living and kitchen space. You are required to purchase your own food but you are also welcome to use anything in the community food pantry. Each day begins with scripture and prayer. After breakfast everyone goes to work, looks for work, or volunteers in the community. Curfew is at 8:30 pm and lights out at 11:00 pm. (Exceptions are made for work or special events with prior approval.) Each resident will work with a mentor or director to develop a personal budget and keeping it is mandatory. Program fees are $425 per month. Do you qualify for the program? All applicants must agree to the following.     Have a sincere desire to change your life.     Must be clean and sober for at least 30 days.     Be willing to become involved in a mentored relationship to build support.     Be willing to abide by house rules.     Be willing to do assigned work in the home and/or community.     Be willing to adhere to money management requirements which are specifically outlined in the house rules.     Must present all court, medical, and psychological paperwork to director for your file and case management.     Keep your body and personal space clean. (Daily showers are required.)
