At present the Center has its greatest concentration of providing assistance which will have a lasting impact on families. This assistance is through the Women's Business Center, New Choices and its housing programs. Ashton Woods, a transitional housing program for homeless families opened in June, 2000, with 20 houses available for families. Lease to Home is another program for homeless families. This program offers home ownership to homeless families. In addition, the Women's Center offers resources and referrals to the community. Classes are also offered for adults wishing to get a GED.
