Provides homeless and low-income families and individuals, including Veterans, with housing, food, clothing, and support services necessary to obtain self-sufficiency and improved quality of life.
Many families and individuals come to HEP lacking access to everything from personal hygiene to medical care. With community partnerships and personalized case management, HEP is able to provide a variety of needed support services.
Once an individual enters HEP, our first step is stabilization, by making sure their immediate needs are met. You know the basics…food, shelter, clothing and water.
MENTAL / PHYSICAL HEALTHCARE
Within the first 24-72 hours of each intake to HEP, an on-site medical and mental health assessment is performed through partnerships with Morton Plant Mease Outreach and BayCare Health Systems.
Part of being a great service provider for a very vulnerable population, is being able to educate our residents on the community resources available to help them during a time of need.
SELF SUFFICIENCY PROGRAMS
HEP would be unable to boast an 89% success rate of residents who obtain independent housing upon discharge from our program; if not for the wide array of supportive services we offer on-campus.

We always urge the users of our website to visit the websites of the providers listed, OR give them a phone call to find out complete details.
In furtherance; Halfway Houses, Transitional Housing, and Substance Abuse Treatment Centers for the most part charge a fee. Most of the substance abuse resources we provide are low cost, Medicaid or sliding scale fee. We provide as much information as possible on the website of these locations.
Rooming and Boarding Houses do charge fees. We list them where we find them. They are a nice low cost option for housing.
