General Information:
The mission of The Eric Johnson House is to respond compassionately and responsibly to the HIV/AIDS crisis by providing  supportive services, housing opportunities, prevention strategies and community education in New Jersey.  It is our vision to help create a community where the social issues related to HIV/ AIDS are abundantly met.    Transitional Housing Program: This   program, located in downtown Morristown, is designed for individuals who are homeless due to their HIV status.  The facility has the capacity to   house ten  individuals at a time for a period of up to 24 months as they locate the resources and develop the skills necessary to obtain and maintain permanent housing.  Individuals who enter our transitional housing program come primarily from living on the streets, places not meant for human habitation, or in emergency shelters.    Permanent Housing Program:  This   program administers housing subsidies for rental assistance to help enable HIV positive persons to afford independent living. Participants are required to pay 30% of their income towards rent and the housing subsidy pays the difference directly to the landlord.
