This is a Non Profit Organization that provides Transitional Housing. Review the details below: Exodus House is a 20 bed state licensed community based residential facility for recovering male alcoholics and drug addicts. It opened in 1977 as a response to Washington County's need for a structured, professionally directed program to assist those persons in the transition between sobriety and re-entry into society. Admission will be given to any sincere individual who needs the facility and is willing to abide by the rules of the house. Specific criteria for admission include: - must be a male, 18 years or over and ambulatory - must be free from communicable disease and furnish proof of this on or before admission - must be sober at admission and must remain sober - Willingness and ability to participate in the program. Acceptance of rules and regulations of the residence as well as application and agreement. - Admission will not be denied on the basis of race, color, creed, or previous residence, national origin Exodus House promotes a full range of services for the recovering chemically dependent client requiring a residential setting. Emphasis is placed on the homelike features of the facility with residents given much the same kind of responsibility for themselves and their environment as they would in their own home. Exodus House is a minimally supervised, non-medical, community based residential program. Services include individual counseling, group counseling, limited recreational activities, room, board, and limited transportation. Our facility also assists in educational or employment placement based on individual assessment.
