This is a Non Profit Organization that may be able to provide housing assistance. Review the details below: The Portage County Animal Protective League Is A Private Non-Profit Organization That Provides Humane Officer Services, A Shelter Operation And Low Cost Spaying And Neutering For All Abandoned, Abused, Injured And Surrendered Cats And Dogs In This Mostly Rural Community. We Receive No State, Federal Or Local Funding And Rely On The Generosity Of Our Donors To Fund Our Efforts. We Are Operated By An All-Volunteer Board And All Funds Raised Are Utilized To Pay Our Shelter Staff And Humane Officer. Our Current Facility Is In Horrific Condition And We Have Spent The Last Six Years Attempting To Raise The $750,000 We Need To Build A Much Needed New Shelter, All The While Taking Care (Medically Treating, Housing And Spaying Or Neutering) All Of The Animals That Pass Through Our Doors.
